Taiwan’s defense ministry reports 14 Chinese warships cruising near its waters—almost double the number from just a day ago.
Looks like Beijing’s got a bit of a temper tantrum after President Lai Ching-te wrapped up his U.S. Pacific tour.
China wasted no time slamming Lai, calling his push for independence a “false display of power.”
And, of course, they’re warning that any moves challenging their claims over Taiwan will come with consequences.
