Taiwan’s defense ministry announced Thursday that 43 Chinese aircraft and 8 naval vessels were detected around the island over a 24-hour period.
Thirty-four of the aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s southwestern and eastern air defense identification zones.
This activity coincided with a Japanese warship sailing through the Taiwan Strait. The movements were recorded during the 24-hour period ending at 6 AM Thursday.
