Kathmandu – In a dramatic turn of events, Nepal’s Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has resigned following days of intensifying protests. The decision reportedly came after an emergency discussion with the Army Chief.

Mass demonstrations in Kathmandu spiraled into chaos as protesters stormed Parliament, setting both houses on fire. The historic building is now under the control of demonstrators.

Unrest also spread to the President’s residence, where protesters vandalized the property amid chants demanding sweeping political reforms.
