A powerful explosion took place near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on Saturday morning, causing panic in the area.
The blast happened inside an i20 car, which reportedly had a few people inside. The explosion occurred in the rear part of the car, and all passengers were killed on the spot.
Police sources say the blast was unusual — no crater was found at the site, and no metal pieces, wires, or nails were discovered in the victims’ bodies. Officials also noted that the injured did not show burn marks or blackened skin, which are normally seen in fire-related explosions.
Teams from the Delhi Police Special Cell, forensic experts, and the bomb squad have reached the scene. They are now examining the car’s broken parts to trace its registration number and identify the victims.
