New family-focused electric scooter to debut at Ather Community Day 2026
Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy is gearing up to launch its new electric scooter, the Ather Konarc, in India on August 29, 2026.
The company has teased the upcoming scooter ahead of its launch, with the event scheduled for 10:30 AM IST and expected to be streamed live on YouTube.
The Konarc will be Ather’s first production scooter based on its new EL platform and is positioned as a more affordable, family-oriented electric scooter. The new model is expected to help Ather expand beyond its premium 450 series and compete in the growing mass-market EV segment.
Family-focused design
Teasers suggest that the Konarc will feature a practical design with a long single-piece seat, spacious floorboard and an upright riding position. The scooter also gets a distinctive LED lighting setup and a more conventional family-scooter profile compared with Ather’s sportier models.
Ather has also confirmed that the Konarc will feature metal body panels, marking a shift from the company’s traditional use of fibre-reinforced plastic on its scooters.
Price and specifications to be revealed
Ather has not yet officially announced the Konarc’s price, battery capacity, range or complete feature list. Reports suggest that the scooter could be positioned around the ₹1 lakh price segment, but the final pricing will be announced at the launch.
With its new platform, family-focused design and expected competitive pricing, the Ather Konarc could become an important model in Ather’s push towards a wider Indian customer base.
