Israeli Airstrike on Gaza School Killed 93, Provokes Global Condemnation

On Saturday, an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Tabieen religious school and mosque in Gaza City killed 93 people, including 11 children and six women, according to rescuers in Gaza. The school, which was sheltering displaced Palestinians, was hit by three Israeli missiles during dawn prayers. Mahmud Bassal, a spokesperson for the civil defense agency, confirmed the deaths and reported that there were “many unidentified body parts” among the victims.

The Israeli military claimed that the strike targeted “at least 19 Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists” and was executed with “three precise munitions.” However, the high death toll, which remains unverified, has triggered widespread condemnation. The attack has been denounced as a “dangerous escalation” by Hamas and labeled a “horrific massacre” by Hezbollah, prompting outrage across the Middle East and beyond.
