Starving women in Gaza, most of them mothers with children to feed, claim they’ve been pressured into sex by men offering food, water, or shelter: some of whom claimed to work with aid groups.
One woman said a man gave her money and a job after sleeping with her. Others say they refused, but were left with nothing.
Psychologists and NGOs say this isn’t rare; it’s happening more and more. Dozens of women have reported similar cases, including pregnancies. The actual number? Probably much higher.
Before the war, these kinds of reports came in once or twice a year. Now, it’s likely a large-scale issue.
